This series of abstract stoneware sculptures is a dedication to the experience of same gestures aiming for an observation of the technique and its process of evolution. Valéry Maillot delights in experimenting with firing in his Anagama kiln resulting in surprising and unpredictable effects randomly disseminated around the circumference of the pieces. These outdoor/indoor sculptures are suitable to contain any kind of flowers or branches in the Japanese wabi sabi aesthetic.
