Pierre Salagnac

Pierre Salagnac is a French master bronzesmith, sculptor, and designer. A graduate of the prestigious Ecole Boulle in Paris, he was able to learn in-depth the three specific skills that make up the centuries-old craft of working bronze into beautiful artifacts: mounting, turning, and chiseling.

After twenty years spent directing the finest French bronze workshops, Pierre Salagnac is now thriving within his own studio and is, at last, devoting himself to his art as a craftsman-sculptor making metal bloom into life. His perfect mastery of the bronze techniques allows him to set the material free and express the form it contains with sensuality. Inspired by movement, fluidity and growth, the artist draws on irregular forms found in nature revealing the organic curves of change and transformation.

Pierre Salagnac has made a name for himself in the world of interior design thanks to the bronze Bonsai Trees that he has “planted” all over the world. His Elan table too is another iconic example of his work inspired by nature and lightness, which was recently acquired by major French institution: le Mobilier National as part of the Elysée collection.
